UWELL Caliburn Koko Prime — 18 W Refillable Pod Kit

The Caliburn Koko Prime is an 18 W rechargeable pod with a 2 ml refillable tank, a 690 mAh battery and Type-C charging. It runs Caliburn G coils, and does the one thing almost no pod this size does well: both mouth-to-lung and restricted direct-to-lung.

You change the draw by rotating the pod

This is the feature that sets it apart, and almost nobody explains it.

The pod and the body each have an air inlet. How you orient the pod when you insert it completely changes the draw:

• Air inlets aligned (close together) → more open, restricted direct-to-lung
• Air inlets opposed (far apart) → tight, mouth-to-lung

No rings, no adjustment, no parts to lose. Pull the pod out, turn it round, put it back.

Caliburn G coils — and why that matters

It runs UWELL's Caliburn G system: the same coils used by the Caliburn G, G2 and GK2. It's one of the most widely stocked fittings on the Spanish market, so finding replacements isn't a problem.

The mesh coil heats faster and gives more flavour; the 1.0 Ω lasts longer and uses less liquid. Start with the 1.0 Ω if you're coming off tobacco.

Before the first puff: wait 10 minutes

This is the manufacturer's own instruction and the number one cause of a new coil tasting burnt.

Fit the coil, fill the tank from the top, put the drip tip back on, and let the pod stand for 10 minutes before vaping. The cotton needs that time to saturate. Fire it dry and the coil is ruined on the very first puff.

An honest note on the model

The Koko Prime is from the previous generation of the Caliburn range — UWELL has since released the G3, G4 and G5. What hasn't changed is the coil system: it's still Caliburn G, stocked everywhere. It's a proven device with easy replacements, at a price the newer models don't have.

Every unit carries a 16-digit anti-counterfeit code you can check at myuwell.com. Manufacturer warranty is 180 days and covers the device; coils and pod cartridges, as consumables, are excluded.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a coil last?
One to three weeks. The 1.0 Ω usually outlasts the mesh. Very sweet liquids shorten both considerably.

Which e-liquid should I use?
With the 1.0 Ω, nicotine salts at 10–20 mg. With the 0.8 Ω, a 50/50 at 6–12 mg. At 18 W, 20 mg salts in the 0.8 Ω can come across strong.

Why only 2 ml?
Because that's the legal maximum in Spain for nicotine tanks under Real Decreto 579/2017. Explained in this guide.

Can the decorative panel be changed?
Yes. Remove the original and fit another. UWELL sells replacement panels in several finishes.

Why is it leaking?
Almost always from leaving the drip tip off after filling, or filling through the central hole instead of the fill port. Seat the drip tip firmly when you're done.

Will it help me stop smoking?
