Genuine Innokin JEM replacement coils, five per pack, in two versions: 1.6 Ω kanthal and 2.0 Ω ceramic. Both are mouth-to-lung — a tight, cigarette-style draw.

Which device takes these?

The Innokin JEM Pen kit, and only that.

Innokin makes several MTL starter kits with similar names and none of the coils are interchangeable. If your device isn't a JEM Pen, these won't fit — the Endura T18, T18E, T20-S and Zenith all take different coils.

1.6 Ω kanthal or 2.0 Ω ceramic?

Ceramic heats evenly and gives a very clean taste, without the faint metallic note some people notice on wire coils. It lasts longest but wicks more slowly, so it needs more patience when you fit it.

Kanthal is standard wire — warmer vapour, a bit more of it, and a punchier flavour, at the cost of coil life.

Coming off cigarettes on 20 mg nic salts? Take the 2.0 Ω ceramic. Want a warmer vape with more presence? The 1.6 Ω kanthal.

Fitting a new coil

• Empty the tank before changing the coil
• Unscrew the used coil from the tank base
• Screw the new one in finger-tight — don't overtighten
• Drip e-liquid onto the exposed cotton until it darkens
• Fill the tank, then wait before the first puff — 5-10 minutes for kanthal, 10-15 for ceramic

Ceramic genuinely needs the longer wait. It's the single most common cause of a new coil tasting burnt.

FAQ

How long does a JEM coil last?
Two to three weeks for the kanthal, three to four for the ceramic. Sweetened e-liquids shorten both considerably.

Does ceramic really taste different?
Yes. Cleaner and more neutral, and more consistent from the first puff to the last. Less punchy than kanthal, which some people prefer and others don't.

Can I use nic salts?
Yes, with either. The 2.0 Ω is the better match for 20 mg; the 1.6 Ω suits 10-12 mg.

Why does a new coil taste burnt?
Priming. The cotton must be saturated before the first puff. Drip liquid directly onto it and respect the waiting time above.

What e-liquid should I use?
50/50 PG/VG. High-VG liquid is too thick to wick at these resistances and causes dry hits.
